 Dynamax Goes Android

 

Dynamax Technologies releases their Android-based digital signage solution.

Based on a 1.6GHz dual core ARM A9 processor with a quad core MALI GPU, the digitalsignage.NET Android solution comes with both wi-fi and LAN connectivity.

Providing the same functionality as PC media playback devices, the cost of the Android product is considerably lower-- making it a plug-and-play solution that features easy-to- sell, easy-to-install and easy-to- use.

 
The hardware solution will soon be available for purchase and the new version of digitalsignage.NET will also be sold separately through selected partners....

Digital out-of-home advertisers lose up to $2.3 billion a year because their campaigns fail to use the unique features offered by the medium, according to a study from Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO).
 
Clear Channel Outdoor, a leader in digital out-of-home, operates some 4700 digital screens in 18 global markets.
 
The company says 3 out of 4 campaigns run on digital screens do not use digital features and capabilities to their full potential-- and advertisers lose billions in potential revenue as a result.
 
Clear Channel Outdoor sampled activity across its global network of digital screens, calculating that just 1 in 4 campaigns were maximizing the benefits offered by digital technology...

  Polytouch Adds Multi-touch POS

At the European Sign Expo 2013, IT-pioneer Pyramid Computer GmbH brought out its polytouch business unit’s Classic terminals:  the polytouch 22 and polytouch 32 CLASSIC terminals, equipped with modern, light-insensitive, projected capacitive technology. 
 
These Intel Core i7-3770S-driven units can detect 20 simultaneous touches at an ultra-fast 10 millisecond response time while rejecting palms resting on the screen. A neat trick to show off at a show.
 
What wasn’t at the show were the new products in the polytouch portfolio: the multi-touch point-of-sale (POS) systems – polytouch 22000 POS and 32000 POS.
