MuraMPX

Matrox Graphics showcased the Matrox Mura MPX Series display wall controllers for AV distributors, integrators, and professionals at InfoComm China.

Mura MPX boards drove a 12-monitor (3x4) display wall, while Matrox personnel led in-booth tutorials on the benefits of integrating Extio KVM extenders and Matrox M-Series graphics cards into control room, digital signage, and other challenging multi-display deployments.

Matrox Mura MPX Series display wall controller boards combine traditionally separate input and output cards onto a single-slot, PCI Express x16 Gen 2 board, leveraging 64 Gb/sec full duplex data transfer to display full frame rate, HD video input captures. System integrators can easily add multiple MPX output/input boards within a single system and incorporate MPX video capture cards for high-volume, analog video input projects.

Matrox dual-monitor Extio F2208 and quad-monitor Extio F2408 KVM extenders leverage bus extension technology using a proprietary PCIe bus interface card to deliver raw, uncompressed data over up to 1 km of fiber-optic cable for workstation performance. Extio F2408 can also add an additional 4 displays with the optional Matrox Extio F2408E Expander, while multiple Matrox Extio F2208, F2408 and F2408E Expander units can be combined to drive up to 16 remote displays from a single PC.

Matrox M-Series graphics cards support up to 8 hi-res monitors or edge blending projectors, while delivering features such as stretched and independent desktop modes. M-Series cards can also be combined in a single computer to drive up to 16 displays, in a variety of configurations.

NEC_3chip

Highlights at ISE 2010 for NEC Display Solutions include a new high-end three-chip DLP HLO projector, several short throw projectors and three new installation projector platforms for the P-/PA-/PX-series.

For Rental and Staging applications, the 3-Chip DLP HLO projector has a WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution and brightness up to nearly 11,000 ANSI lumen. The projector will also support OPS modules and is due to be launched in October 2011. The new products were showcased alongside demos of NEC's work with Intel on the Open Pluggable Specification (OPS), with the first OPS based single board computer made by NEC at the stand.

The new P-series projectors from the fixed-installation field will be launched in February. The PA-series of WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution pro LCD installation projectors and the PX-series DLP models (1 chip, dual lamp systems) are for long operating times. The PX750U is the world's first projector to support OPS modules for installation flexibility.

Five new short-throw projectors, which have been added to the M-series range, which boast a very short throw ratio of 0.47:1 and provide brilliant images in both XGA (1024x768) and WXGA (1280x800) resolutions. This makes them particularly suited for classrooms and small-to-medium sized meeting rooms. These are due to be released to market in February and March 2011.
