Projection Partnership turned to its hire fleet of Christie HD10K-M projectors when asked to support pharmaceutical manufacturer Lundbeck's recent 4-day product launch in the ballroom of the Prague Hilton Hotel.

Working alongside Martin Trolle Nielsen from Danish creative company (and content providers) Publicis Reputation ApS, the 1920 X 1080 high-definition projectors met the complex multimedia challenges of production company g2-Live, under the direction of Graham Grimshaw, to give around 480 of the company's sales force high visual acuity in an enveloping oval set.

Coolux Pandoras Box Illustrates Scalable Touch

At InfoComm 2011, the Coolux demonstrated their AirScan System with a “gesture zone” well in front of 12 Samsung 460UT LCD screens. Visitors could control the screens with no contact required. At more than 4000 x 3000 true native pixels, the super HD output of the Big Pad V2 display was an attraction for attendees.

Christie unveiled at InfoComm a tech preview of the newest members of its Christie MicroTiles solutions family: the Christie i-Kit touch interactivity kit, powered by Baanto ShadowSense, and the Christie JumpStart software and media server.

The Christie i-Kit, a multi-touch interactivity kit suitable for large format displays, attaches to the perimeter of any large arrayed display up to 16 x 6, including Christie MicroTiles, allowing multiple users to interact simultaneously with a rectangular video wall with sufficient resolution and speed to support finger-based gestures.

Mainstream Projectors: 24% with Interactivity by 2015

On the eve of InfoComm, Pacific Media Associates (PMA) finds WW shipments of projectors somehow equipped for interactivity will grow from about 1.1 million in 2010 to about 2.9 million in 2015.

PMA expects the Mainstream projector range (500 to 4999 lumens) to grow from about 7 million units in 2010 to about 11.9 million units in 2015, a CAGR of 11%. The fastest growing vertical market for Mainstream models is education (which has seen rapid growth of interactive whiteboards and short-throw models, and has propelled the growth for Promethean and SMART Technologies.)
