Coolux Pandoras Box Illustrates Scalable Touch

AirScan System

At InfoComm 2011, the Coolux demonstrated their AirScan System with a “gesture zone” well in front of 12 Samsung 460UT LCD screens. Visitors could control the screens with no contact required. At more than 4000 x 3000 true native pixels, the super HD output of the Big Pad V2 display was an attraction for attendees.

Built in about one day, Coolux teamed up with Samsung to illustrate how simple it is to use the latest versions of almost any type of display device in conjunction with the Coolux Media Systems Pandoras Box to deliver the message. In much the same way, says Coolux, you can turn just about any surface from a wall to a glass into a multi-touch interactive experience using the Coolux family of products.

Coolux Pandoras Box Media Servers drove the technology behind the display, which ws controlled and synchronized by Coolux Widget Designer 3.0 and Coolux AirScan System. The Coolux AirScan allows up to 24 touch points with large surface scanning of up to 10x20m screen size.
